Grace Ciepiela '25 Recruiting Profile

After spending 12 years in competitive gymnastics, I came across diving. Immediately I fell in love with the determination and perseverance this sport brought. I am in my first year of diving eager to learn the dynamics and dedication the sport of diving brings; I was always wanting more. Through the twelve years of gymnastics, I learned discipline, drive, determination, and even frustration. No sport comes without its challenges, and I am eager to embrace those that come with diving, nothing beats the feeling of conquering a fear. Diving required me to learn new skills and technique, but it has taught me so much more than that. It has taught me what it's like to having a supportive team, how to face my fears, resilience, determination, and how to set both long- and short-term goals for myself to continue my drive in the sport. I am excited to continue to build on my skill set and be the best teammate possible throughout the coming years. I look forward to bringing in my own experiences as well as learning about others to become an even better athlete and teammate. I am excited to continue both my athletic and academic career in a collegiate program where I can continue to build myself to be a better person both in and outside of the sport of diving.
