Hello! My name is Lizzy McKnight. I live in Washington state and am currently a student at Kentridge high school. For this year and my senior year, i am attending Greenriver College for a running start program. I am a former gymnast and competed in the sport for 13 years, but was injured to often and soon lost the love for the sport. I began diving last year for Kentridge high swim and dive team. During that year i learned so much about the sport and ended up loving every part of it from the dry land, to the boards, and to competing. At the end of the season i finished 4th in state and was recognized by my coaches Ale and Illich Fuentes. My 2018 high school season ended in November with second place in state. Currently, I'm training with my club 6 days a week focusing on 10 meter tower voluntaries and lead ups for this upcoming season. I began working 10 meter about a few weeks into December 2018 and absolutely love it. I am a pretty big daredevil and am willing to try anything my coaches believe i could do. Many people call me the 'energetic dancer' because I'm always laughing and dancing during practice and meets. Creating a fun environment for my younger teammates to be around is very important to me so they learn that finding joy in the sport and always having a good attitude will help you grow in your journey!
