Personal Statement
I am currently a Senior at Grafton High School in Grafton, WI. I am a former gymnast and began diving 5 years ago. I am proud of my accomplishments in the pool and am forever grateful for the lifelong friendships that I have made through the sport of diving. I am a hard worker and loyal to my coach and teammates.
I placed 6th at the WIAA State Division II tournament in 2019. I placed 3rd at State in 2020 and 2021. I was sectional champion in 2021 and 2022. I also was North Shore Conference champion this year. I am most proud though of breaking my high school record for 6 dives with a score of 277, which was set last in 1994! I also have the pool record for 6 (277 score) dives and 11 (464 score) dives at our rival school in Port Washington, WI. On 11/11/22, I placed 1st at the WIAA Division II State meet with a score of 433. These accomplishments in my high school diving career have made me the "most decorated" diver in Grafton High School history.
I would love to be able to dive in college, and also want to be a successful student in dental hygiene. I am hoping to find the perfect fit for both priorities. I would like to stay in the Midwest as being close to family and friends is important, but I am open to attending a college or university in the central region or the eastern US.
I could improve in the area of self confidence, as I continue to work on new dives and perfect others.
