Personal Statement

For years, I have planned to play college golf and will finally be able to do so in the Fall of 2021! Much of my focus has been on developing solid golf skills. I have always been a “golfer” and have always loved the game. However, I began to have stronger focus and intensity in the summer of 2019 and have been working hard to lower my scores. My game is only going to continue develop and improve. I want to be a part of a program where I can continue working on my game and enjoy the success that comes from hard work and commitment. I am so excited and ready to move to the next level where I can be on a college team with players who have the same common goal.

While I have not decided on a college major, I am very interested in Psychology, Business, Marketing, Art History/Photography, and Interior Design. Mountain Brook High School is one of the top college prep schools in Alabama, and its challenging curriculum provides its students with a strong foundation for success in college. I am confident that my high school experience and the fact that I am self-starter and an independent person, will allow me easily and successfully transition from high school to college.

Outside of golf, my biggest passions are music, photography, working jigsaw puzzles, going to museums and art galleries, trying new restaurants, and shopping! But my favorite times are spent just hanging out with my family and my friends. I have always been a very positive person who really enjoys people. Whether it is encouraging teammates and being a positive influence on my team, or involving myself in service opportunities where I can encourage and support others, one of my life goals is to be the type of person who can inspire others to reach their potential.
