Hi, I am Elle Webber from Huntsville, Alabama, and I am in my sophomore year of high school. When I started playing golf at the age of ten, I instantly fell in love with the game. I started playing in PGA Jr. League and quickly began playing tournaments soon after that. I have always loved how golf is challenging. Some days out on the course, it all comes together, and you play great. Other days you have to battle to do well; however, no matter how you play, you learn something new from each round you play. I love how golf can be a team sport, but at the same time, you are always responsible for yourself and for pushing yourself to get better each round. When I was in 7th and 8th grade, I played on my varsity high school team. The first year I helped lead my team to a state runner-up title. The following year, I helped my team win the state championship. Being part of that team helped me grow as a golfer and as a teammate.
I would love the opportunity to take the next step and play for a college team because it would allow me to continue to grow as a teammate and as a person. I want to be a part of a college team for many reasons. I like to travel to new places; see fantastic golf courses; and make new friends. I also feel like playing golf helps develop the tools you need to become successful in life.
I would be a good teammate because I put in 100% during tournaments, practice and workouts as well as in the classroom. I play with integrity and always try my best even when things are not going the way I would like on the course. I want to be part of a program that promotes teamwork and desires to win on and off the course.
