Allie Burgarello '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Allie Burgarello. I will be graduating Spring of 2012 from Division 5A Sandra Day O'Connor High School in Phoenix, Arizona. I am the current Student Body President and captain of the Girl's Varsity Golf Team. I currently hold a GPA of 4.58 and I am in the top 20 students of my class (class of 581-school of 2500 students). 

For two consecutive years my team has been in the top of our Region (winning and taking 3rd place) and last year I qualified and competed in the Arizona State High School GIrls Golf Championship. I personally finished in the top 100. My goal this year will be to finish in the top 20. As a long time competitive soccer player, I made the decision to focus 100 percent of my athletic efforts on golf. Therefore, I have been trainging 6 days a week with a PGA Instructor, Titleist Certified Strength Trainer, and taking playing lessons with a golf professional at a local country club. 

As a former captain of the high school soccer team, a 3 year captain of the golf team, a member of the Society of Female Scholars and Nation Honors Society, President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, both Freshman and Sophomore Class President, Student Body Secretary, this years Student Body President, and a 4 year member of the Mayor's Youth Advisory Commission, I know that I am a strong leader on and off the course. All of the above leadership roles have allowed me to strengthen my leadership abilities and help others around me grow as well. 

I am committed to playing 4 years of college golf at a College or University that offers a major in Education. 

I am committed to being an outstanding teammate, student, and player. I look forward to speaking with you.
