Olivia Dorantes Mccarten '21 Recruiting Profile

  My name is Olivia Dorantes McCarten I am 17 years old from British Columbia. I am a 2021 graduate student golfer interested in D1 golf schools. I am a dedicated, loyal and hardworking athlete. I am also a fast learner I will work until I understand and won't give up. Sports have always been in my life but I found a special love for golf. I have been golfing for 5 years but I have fully committed myself to golfing for the last 3 years. I really became passionate about the sport golf when  I began competing at a high school level. I would love to have the opportunity to participate in college level golf so that I can continue to improve my own golf game by competing against high level athletes that will challenge me as I learn and grow. The experience will help me become a better person both on the course and off the golf course. My long term goal is to play on the LPGA but would love to experience college first. I train daily in the gym for 3 hours doing cardio/lifting to improve my strength and mobility out on the course. As well I golf 4 times a week and 1 private lesson with my golf pro. I know of course academics are a high priority. Throughout high school I have chosen the classes that I need to pursue my second dream witch is dentistry
