Hello! I'm Mitzi Duarte and I am a junior who is currently attending Cerritos High school in Cerritos, CA. One thing that I am looking forward to in college golf is the new atmosphere that I will be experiencing. New competition, new experiences, new lessons, and new memories. I am especially excited about the team play and bonding that I will hopefully experience. One of my favorite things about high school golf is the experience I have playing with a team and that is a feeling that I want to take with me when I play golf in college. I love to bond with new people and I want to stand out, not only with my personality, but with my golf game as well.
In my local golf course, Don Knabe, I occasionally work with my good friend and golf mentor, Rachel Lim, with her junior camps. During the summer of 2021, I was an assistant coach to her and helped instruct junior golfers. I am also currently applying to SCGA for an opportunity to coach kids during the week as well. In my freshman year of high school, I was an assistant coach to my brother's elementary school golf team as well.
