Katie Anderson '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Katie Anderson, and I am a junior (2024) at Sierra Canyon School. This year will be my second year on the Sierra Canyon Men's Varsity Golf team. I am on the men's team because my school does not have a women's team. I started golf two years ago after competitively figure skating for 13 years. Since starting golf, I have worked hard to improve quickly. Over the summer, I played 27 tounaments in the SCPGA jr. tour. I really love the mental and physical challenges of playing all the different golf course and developing strategies for each game. Outside of golf, I enjoy playing ping pong with my friends. At school, I am in AP and honors classes and on the math team. For the past two summers, I have taken a few courses at UCLA  to learn the college experience. For college, I hope to major in engineering, architecture, or economics while pursuing my passion for golf.
