Stella Cheng '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Stella Cheng, and I have been playing golf since I was 10. My dad first introduced it to me, and I’ve been in love with the sport ever since. Through golf, I have learned the importance of patience, a strong mental focus, and dedication. I believe the lessons in golf are life lessons that can be carried throughout all aspects of it. I also love the opportunities this sport has given me, such as the opportunity to meet people and make friends from all over the country. I’ve made All League every year so far in my school team matches, this year placing 2nd with a score of 72. I’ve also played in a couple of AJGA tournaments, with my best score being (76-76-74-224). I am also very focused on academics; I’ve managed to maintain a 3.5+ every semester so far.

I am interested in college golf because I believe it will be an extremely valuable and exciting opportunity to learn new things and meet new people. I am willing to commit myself to achieve my goals in both golf and academics, and I am looking for a college that will allow me to do just that. Thank you for your time!
