Making the Varsity Girl's Golf team as a sophomore was one of the first big accomplishments of my high school career. Being a Division 1 school, earning my spot took a lot of discipline and determination because I had to prove that I was a competitive player and would be an asset to my experienced team. My commitment and love for the game of golf has stayed with me throughout my junior season, as I was fortunate enough to play in the number 1 seat on my team and competed against some of the fiercest competitors in the conference. I have constantly dropped my score every year and I still have room to improve. My high school golf experience has defiantly assured that competing in college is the next big goal I want to achieve.
I am constantly challenging myself on and off the golf course, as I am enrolled in 3 AP classes and an active volunteer in the Assiteens organization, where I will serve as the junior class representative of my city's chapter for all 4 years of high school. My time management and leadership skills have become vital this school year, and I am aware is very important for life as a college golfer. I believe those skills set me apart from other recruits because I have been awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for the past 2 years, along with the Coach's Award with my school's golf team. I believe I have what it takes to compete on your team!
