Hello, my name is Sydnee Salcedo. Although I am turning 17 years old in the year 2022, my story begins early on as an elementary student. I've always had a passion for sports. My early memories are of watching ESPN and dreaming of reaching my goals as a female athlete. Having a single mom who is a teacher, I know how important education and grades are in my household and I strive to make it a priority. Grades and golf are my pathways to success. I know things will not always go my way but I do know my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has a plan for my life and I put my trust in Him. Playing golf since the age of 7 has always brought me so much joy. I picked up a club the first time with my grandfather by my side teaching me to hit the club the right way and line the putt up just right. I strive to lead by example and create a positive and connected environment on and off the course . I am very humbled by all of my accomplishments as a student athlete. I have realized not to take anything for granted. Every given moment is a blessing and I push myself to work harder, stay dedicated and committed in all of my endeavors. I want to be a leader with enthusiasm, positivity, integrity and dedication in academics, sports and in everyday life. As I enter my senior year in high school (this fall) and thus college, I hope to bring lessons learned to my passion for golf and to be a positive member of society.
