Personal Statement

Hello my name is Gabrielle (Gabby) Hamstead. I am a Sophomore at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes Delaware and play for the golf team. In my free time I run cross country, hangout with my friends, volunteer, and do fun activities, as well as work as a caddy at Rehoboth Beach Country Club. When it comes to school I take my education seriously and always aim for straight A’s while taking higher level classes. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA so far and aim to continue. I want to find a school that has a great medical program, but will also allow me to play golf for the school. I don't know where golf will take me in life, but I want to be able to join both my academic aspirations and my golf aspirations so I can make an informed decision by the time I graduate! In my best case scenario I would look for a school that would take me as a member of their golf team and one that would appreciate the time needed to spend obtaining my educational goals. I am always looking to grow my game and I hope to find the best coach possible to help me grow not only my game but my intended career goals. Thank you for your time!
