Kennedi McGowan '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kennedi McGowan. I'm a senior this year ('23) and Co-Captain of my high schools Women's Golf Team. I've been playing the sport since the 9th grade. I was encouraged to try the sport by my father. I've always been willing try different sports and never found my niche until I tried golf. I fell in love with the sport after my first year playing. I desire wholeheartedly to play on a college level. I plan to major in Biology Pre- Med and then head to medical school to become a Plastic Surgeon. The game of golf will open up so many opportunities for me as an African American female in the sport. Golf will allow me to network, have fun, release stress all while enjoying the friendly competition of the sport. I will continue to learn the importance of time management, perseverance, teamwork and dedication.
