Sophia Cellini '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a high school sophomore who is home schooled that is a student athlete who plays Varsity golf representing Konos Academy High School.  I am results oriented with both long- and short-term goals.  My short-term goals for the 2024-2025 season are: to improve my tournament handicap from a 7.4 to a sub 4.0 index, win the 2025 GAPPS female high school state championship, place in the top 10 of the 2025 GAPPS co-ed varsity state championship, lead Konos Academy to their first varsity state championship, place 1^st in the Under Armour National Championship, place in the top 3 of the Under Arour Worlds Championship and place in the top 3 at a Georgia State Golf Association Premier Player Series event.  My long-term goals are: win the 2026 GAPPS co-ed varsity state championship, have a tournament handicap index of 2.0 or less, and qualify to compete in my first AJGA tournament.

The traits that are the cornerstone of my success are: my Christian faith, volunteering at the children’s ministry at my church, being a supportive teammate that helps others reach their goals, being self-motivated, and being passionate for winning (especially versus boys).  These traits keep me focused on achieving my goals, ensure that I am a supportive teammate, and always maintaining a positive attitude.

Key accomplishments from the 2020 through 2022 seasons

• Played in 35 tournaments between the Hurricane Tour and the Georgia State Golf Association.  Won 37% of tournaments entered and placed in the top 3 in 60% of the tournaments entered.
• In 2022, lead the Konos Academy Middle School to a second-place finish in the GAPPS Middle School state championship.  (Placed 5^th overall (co-ed) and placed 3^rd among girls)
• In 2022, selected to represent Konos Academy in the GAPPS varsity regional championship (placed 12^th overall (co-ed) and placed 3^rd among girls)
• Georgia State Golf Association All Georgia Team in 2020 and 2021
• Won the 2021 Georgia State Golf Association Skills Challenge
• Won the 2021 U18 Club Championship for the Clubs of Peachtree City (as 13-year-old)
• Selected to represent the Clubs of Peachtree City in the Junior League Allstars (2021, 2022)
• Name player of the year/MVP for the Konos Academy Middle School team (2021, 2022)
