Sofia Hoalst '22 Recruiting Profile

I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and started spending time with my dad on the golf course when I was about 4. I would hit plastic clubs and ride around in the golf cart. As I grew up I would hit balls every now and again when I would go out with my dad, but I didn't really take the game serious until my freshmen year in high school I learned that I have a passion for the game. Then in 2020 our season was cancelled due to Covid-19, but I played a couple of the junior tournaments that were available. That summer I also coached young kids about the game and worked at a local golf course in the pro shop. I struggled some last year with my game but I have been working with two personal coaches who have been helping me strengthen my game so that I am more consistent. I am very blessed to have people who believe in me and want to see me excel in the sport.
