My name is Adri Ruffing. I am a 16 year old junior at Mountain Home High School, I have been playing golf for roughly four years now, and have fallen in love with the sport. I have been very committed to the sport and have improved my consistent score by six strokes over the last six months. I was born and raised in Idaho, living in Idaho as a golfer can get really tough. I have played in all sorts of weather. Whether it be snow, rain, wind up to 25 miles an hour, I can say I’ve done it! These conditions are not so fun to play in, but I am a strong believer in the saying “mind over matter.” Through these conditions, I believe I have become a better player, I have developed a stronger mindset, and I have also gained so much love for the sport.
I want to play college golf because I am ready to take my game to the next level. I want to go to a college that will fit not only my athletic needs, but my academic needs as well. I plan to pursue my dreams of studying nursing. I have been part of an amazing golf program throughout my whole golf career. With support from my coach and my parents always pushing me to be my best I have been able to gain personal skills such as responsibility, work ethic, and communication skills. I believe I will be a good fit for your program, not just athletically but overall, I believe I have all the personal qualities for what it takes to be a leader on your team!
