Transitioning from a small local club team to the number one team in Idaho for my age was rough. You could say it gave me a lot of growing pains. Over the course of three years on this team, covid, and an injury that caused me to miss my last season, I grew in leaps and bounds. I am no longer the timid, emotionally and mentally weak girl on the court. While recovering from the injury I trained myself mentally with visualization and meditation. Over the last school season, I developed my leadership and confidence by stepping up on a losing team and showing my teammates and coach full commitment to the game no matter the score.
During my injury I realized the love I had for volleyball. I wanted to train myself to be the best volleyball player I could be so I could play collegiately. It is my dream to be on a college volleyball team. I want to continue playing volleyball after high school competitively. There is still so much I need to learn on and off the court. So I will continue to train for the rest of my high school years and I will use these experiences to be a student of the game, uplifting, positive, and confident player on the court, and on a college team.
Academically, I strive for a meaningful learning experience. As a homeschooler, I am used to self-guided and self-motivated learning. Challenges are something I look for and I only believe in doing my best work. In highschool I started an online school and have kept up a 4.0 all throughout my highschool career.
