I started playing competitive golf going into my freshman year of high school, and I have been drawn to growing as a player and as a person ever since. My goals throughout my first years of playing were always to lower my score and make it easier on myself to play a round, but since becoming so involved in the game I have come to know that it is much more than a score. On top of lowering my scores and developing my skills across the board, golf has challenged me in ways that extend beyond the outcome of one round. I have been pushed to improve my mental game, which has become one of my strengths as a player. Keeping composure on both good and bad days has saved my game, on and off the course. Maintaining my faith, good grades, and a strong connection with those around me is equally as important to me in progressing as a person. I strive to constantly improve and grow as a person through each experience that I have, and golf has given me the pleasure of seeing how far I have come as a character since the beginning.
