Katie Drew 2024- ...Personal Statement
My name is Katie Drew, and I'm currently a Sophomore at Dixon High School in Dixon, Illinois. I will be graduating in 2024 and I have aspirations to continue my golf career at the collegiate level. I love to learn about the game of golf, and I am very to dedicated to being the best golfer I can possibly be. I believe my dedication and love for the game of golf would be a great asset to any team.
I also focus on working hard in the classroom. Currently, I have a 4.2 unweighted GPA and a 4.41 weighted GPA. I’ve taken three honors classes both my freshman and sophomore year. Along with academics in school, I also have three leadership roles in my school. I am currently the vice president of student council, key club, and class officers. The leadership roles I have learned in these positions have really helped me as a captain of my golf team.
Over the course of the next two years, I plan on playing in national tournaments. I also plan on working out minor flaws in my swing, so I can perform better and be more prepared for collegiate golf.
