My name is Jenny Park, and I am currently a junior at Glenbrook South High School. I have been on my school's varsity golf team since my freshman year, and I have been constantly striving to improve both myself and my game. Despite starting golf in 8th grade, I have been able to lower my golf score to break the 90s consistently. With my swing coach and my school coach, I am always learning more and growing in all the areas that I am weak in. I tied for tenth place in Mount Prospect Invitational and have participated in my region's Conference and Sectional tournaments.
I am a member of several clubs at school and I have a passion for the band. I play the flute in my school's marching band, concert band, and am a member of the band student council. As a section leader in the band, I am proud to represent the Marching Titans. I also volunteer at the Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital in the nursing unit, and as a Blood Donor Ambassador for the American Red Cross. My hobbies include reading, crocheting, exercising, and playing video games. I am a member of the NSHSS and NHS, along with being on the board for two clubs.
I work hard to balance my school life, athletic life, and personal life. During the summers, I am able to juggle working, volunteering, school golf, and marching band. I am also careful to not fall behind in my academics. With four current AP classes, I study hard to comprehend my lessons and get the results that I want. I want to be able to play golf in college while also balancing my school life and personal life. Because I already have experience in balancing these, I am positive that I will not be overwhelmed when I enter the new environment and I can hit the ground running.
