I hope to become a Veterinarian after college. I have always had a passion for animals and I have had many opportunities to work with them. I have attended John Wood Community College events to see if being a Veterinarian is right for me, I've helped my Mom with her Dog Grooming business and I have also worked at Jane's Pampered Pets Grooming. All of these opportunities have given me the chance to see first hand the value of hard work. I have learned throughout these experiences the importance of first impressions and how to manage time wisely.
I have been playing golf since the Summer before Freshman year. My Grandpa started me out in golfing. The passion he had for it made me enjoy the sport even more. Every year I improve and I work hard for my accomplishments. My coach and team mates see how hard I work. I am usually the first one at practice and the last one to leave.
What makes me different from the other recruits is that I have learned first hand the value of hard work and dedication. I set goals for myself and do whatever it takes to reach them. I am a very patient person and this helps me to realize that in order to improve, it takes time. If I do not like my score I take that and make the best out of it, I know what not to do next time. I believe that it's important to realize that even though you can't change that days score you can improve the next.
I love golf and I have met lifelong friends from it. Golf gives me something to do and something to look forward to. For me, it is a chance to relax from the hustle and bustle of things. I never used to play sports but I have found a true love for this amazing sport.
I work just as hard at getting good grades as I do my golf game. I spend at least an hour and a half on homework each night. I take good notes in class so I can review them later and I have made A and B Honor Roll on almost every report card. When I don't get a good grade,I study harder, my mistakes are an opportunity to help me learn from them. It is important to me to get good grades. Thank you for this opportunity and for your time.
