Hello, my name is Saya Geisendorfer! I have been playing competitive golf since age nine and I am going to be a junior at Quincy Senior High School in the 2021-2022 school year. Beginning my freshman year, I have been on my school's varsity golf team. I am an ambitious student and a determined athlete. I will graduate in the year 2023. I am currently coached by Mark Christensen and my average score on eighteen holes is 77.5. My goal is to play college golf. To reach this goal, I must continue to develop all aspects of my game and consistently shoot in the low seventies.
In my freshman golf season (2019) I placed third in my school's conference tournament (Western Big Six) and second in my school's regional tournament. In my sophomore golf season (2020) I placed second in my school's conference tournament and second in my school's regional tournament. In my junior golf season, I placed third in my school's conference tournament and second in my school's regional tournament. I also assisted in carrying my whole team to the state tournament, where we placed third in Illinois. In addition to my placings in these tournaments, I have supported my school's golf team in all seasons by playing well in home matches and invitational tournaments.
In 2021, I started playing Prep Tour tournaments (directed by Sean Kennedy), for the purpose of gaining even more experience in the competitive golf field. The following are the Prep Tour golf tournaments I have placed in: Prep Tour Tournament at Ironwood (1st place finish), Springfield Jr. Open (3rd place finish), Weibring Spring Jr. Open (3rd place finish).
As a student, I have remained on the honor roll for my entire time at Quincy Senior High School. I have taken one AP class as of the 2020-2021 school year, and I plan to take many more in the years to come. My unweighted GPA is 4.0 and my weighted GPA is 4.3. My success in academics is extremely important to me, as is my success in golf. Because of this, I would love to attend college where both of these values are considered important.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about my dedication as a student and athlete! I look forward to bringing my positive spirit and dedication to your team.
