I started playing golf and taking lessons when I was six years old. I love the competition the game offers. I practice and play year-round to improve my game so I can compete with better players. I have learned that golf has also made me more competitive in life.
My favorite club is driver because the way the ball comes off the club face is exhilarating. I take pride in being able to drive the ball as far, if not farther, than older, more experienced girls. I’m excited to play on a high school team because I have a fun positive attitude and will contribute good scores that will help my team win.
My high school offers a wide variety of classes that will help me discover what I want to pursue in the future. Science has always been my favorite class, but I found out that I also enjoy teaching when I assisted my coach with golf camps for beginners. It was rewarding to see the kids learn and grow under my supervision.
In the future, I look forward to learning more about teaching and how to make a classroom fun. I look forward to growing my golf skills and coaching other juniors through more golf camps, and I look forward to bringing more fun to golf and life.
