I started golf a week before tryouts my freshman year and my first time on the driving range, I threw my club. I persisted and kept on playing despite the difficulty. From the end of my freshman year to the end of my sophomore year, I improved my average score by 14 strokes and continued to show improvement. This shows that I am a driven and a coachable athlete. I also apply traits of positivity and responsibility into golf and school work. I am currently in an advanced placement class of calculus and I plan on taking dual credit classes for my senior year. Outside of golf and classes, I am a leader at the school. I am a section leader in the band and I am the secretary for National Honor Society. I enjoy service projects and volunteering hours for the community. My favorite service project I currently participate in is on every other Wednesday. I help the special educational students practice bowling for the Special Olympics. In college and in the future, I want to continue to participate in band and be a part of the community through community service.
