Averie Bushue Gol...Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Averie Bushue and I am currently going into my Senior year at Teutopolis High School. I started playing golf at a young age, however I have only been playing competitively for the last 3 years. I have been on the varsity golf team since my Freshman year. My goal is to play college golf for a high level program, continue to learn and get better at the game of golf, while earning a college degree.
I feel I stand out from other golfers because I am very willing to learn and strive to be the best I can be. One of my strongest attributes is control of my emotions while playing . An example of this is during sectionals as a Sophomore I took an 11 on one hole and then the next hole I was able to come back and make a par, while still shooting an 89 overall. I feel I do a very good job of keeping my emotions to myself. Another strength would be my ability to learn and adapt to new things quickly. Finally, I feel I am very easy to get along with and can adapt to many different situations.
I would like to find a college that has a great Business Program.

- Shot an 89 for Sectionals - finished 31st overall for the Sectional - Missed state by only a couple strokes. One item to note, I started on the back 9, took an 11 on the 18th hole (Par 5 with an Island Green) to finish with a 45 on the front I was able to come back and make par on the very next hole after the 11, which I was very proud of.
