I am a "diamond in the rough"! I began golfing in 8th grade. I play other sports, softball and soccer, so I have extremely good upper body strength. Since I learned to golf with borrowed men's clubs, I really became attached to Wilson Fat shaft irons. I've played tournaments using only irons, a chipper and putter. I can drive 150-175 yrds with my favorite 7 iron. When I have played in tournaments, I have driven from the tee with my 7 iron twice as far as everyone else using their drivers. I was fitted last year in the pro-shop for Calloway clubs - (Mens again - because I bend Womens clubs). I am happy to say that I am driving 200-300 yrds now with my Calloway driver and hybrid and pretty straight. I have a little slice at the end of the drive that I am working on. My chipping game is good. I need some work on my short game. I have to work on my putting. My higher golf scores are not from my driving game, I am getting distances on my drives that it takes others 2-3 swings to catch me. My game problems come from my 3+ putts on the green! I think with some additional instruction and practice on putting I can be an unstoppable force for any competition and a huge asset to your Women's Golf Program!
