Grace Snyder '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Grace Snyder, and I go to Westfield High School located in Westfield, Indiana. I will be graduating in the year 2020. I am a hardworking student with a good work ethic shown by my 4.2 GPA. I am currently in ski/snowboard club and was also apart of the Chic-fil-A Leadership Academy Club which is a selective club dedicated to the leaders of my high school.  Academics are very important to me, but I am still undecided about what I want to major in during college.

     I was introduced to golf by my dad around the age of six through golf camps in the summer. However, I didn't start playing in golf tournaments until the summer of 2016 which was when I became more passionate and serious about golf. I played position numbers one and two on the JV team my freshmen year, and I played JV number one on the JV team my sophomore year. I did play in a couple of varsity events sophomore year, and I was selected to be an alternate for the State Championship both years. During my junior year, I played the #3 position. My high school varsity team was extremely talented leading us to great achievements such as 2016 Conference Champs, 2016 & 2017 Sectional Champs, 2016 Regional Champs, 2017 Regional 2nd place, and 2016 & 2017 State Championship Runner-Ups. In 2018, I made the all-conference team shooting at score of 79.

    I fell in love with the competition and enjoyment golf offers the summer right before freshmen year. I have been seeing a private swing coach ever since then as I am becoming more dedicated and passionate about wanting to play golf in college. I have a very positive mental attitude out on the golf course which helps tremendously in golf and in everything else I do. I am still working hard on my golf swing every day to make sure that I can continue to be a strong competitor in tournament golf, but also to help out my golf team when the high school season rolls around. I am a great leader, and could definitely fit into any college golf team with my hardworking, fun, and outgoing personality.
