Attending an American Collage for Golf and Academics has long been a dream of mine. I have undertaken vast amounts of research to determine which schools would be the best fit for me. I have also spoken to many current female golfers from Australia who are attending an American College. I listened to their advice and considered my personality, academics and golfing ability. I therefore believe that the The following reasons should help you understand me better.
Firstly, I want to achieve all that I can in my chosen sport. Having the opportunity to use excellent facilities and be part of an impressive team would be ideal. Some highlights of my recent golfing success are: I was selected and played as a member of the South Australian U18 State Team and the U18 State Schools Team. I won the U18 Secondary School Competition of South Australia and recently finished in second place at an interstate event, Western Victoria Junior Classic (Victoria) as well as first place in my age division at The Cranbourne Junior Open, also interstate in Victoria. I played the majority of the games in A1 Women’s Pennant in the number 1 position for my home club Kooyonga. I was also invited by Golf Australia to participate in the Jack Newton International Invitational. I was one of two SA girls selected to compete in this event. My ultimate highlight this year was competing in the World Teens in Pinehurst North Carolina. I finished 8th out of 105 competitors. It was such a privilege to play at such a prestigious course. My last 13 tournaments have seen me achieve a 74 stroke average. (Please note: In Australia we play full Courses – There are no modified courses for Juniors. I have just completed Term 3 of Year 11 and have continued my strong academic achievement. My current GPA has been maintained at 3.9, despite being absent for 5 weeks of the semester due to State Team and other golfing commitments.
I am an incredibly hard worker and am consistently focused on improving both my golf and academics. My end goal is to play golf professionally after having a successful College golf career. I would love to chat with you about what potential opportunities there are for 2024.
