I played a lot of golf with my Dad growing up, but most of my springs, summers, and falls were spent playing club softball. I hadn’t played golf competitively until my first high school golf meet in the spring of 2021. Once I started playing regularly, I fell in love with the game and focused on getting better each day. I'm a highly competitive multi-sport athlete that enjoys putting in the time to be the best I can be.
I love both golf and softball, but due to the Iowa girls high school softball season being May through July, I'm not able to play as many tournaments during the spring and summer as I would like. However, I had success with two first place finishes in last summer's tournaments that I was able to participate in.
Here are some of my highlights:
- 1st Place at Iowa PGA Junior JT Mid-Summer Classic
- 15th at 2022 4A State Tournament
- Runner-up Medalist at 2022 4A Regional
- Runner-up Medalist at 2022 CIML Iowa Conference Meet
- 6th at 2021 CIML Iowa Conference Meet
- 2-time high school medalist, 5-time runner-up medalist
- #1 Varsity golfer Freshman and Sophomore Year
- 3.96 GPA / 4.0 scale
- 2nd Team All CIML Conference - Softball - 2021 & 2022
- Starting OF for Varsity Softball Freshman and Sophomore Year
I enjoy being active outside of school with my Keystone Church youth group along with volunteering in the community when I can. I'm a member of National Honor Society, and have received the Spirit of the Jaguar award for creating a welcoming environment and caring for others.
I could see myself playing either sport after high school at a competitive school where I can continue competing, developing my game, and working towards my college degree with people who support one another. I am interested in Health and Exercise Science with the thought of going to graduate school for Physical Therapy.
