I became interested in golf when my granddad signed me up for junior golf clinics at the age of five years old. Being on my high school golf team since fifth grade has definitely helped me improve my golf skills and learn how to play competitively; however, it has also taught me the importance of working on my leadership skills. Along with golf, I am very driven academically. My academic goals for high school are to average a 3.7 GPA, and prepare myself for college, where I plan to study in the health care field.
Throughout the years I have had to overcome having three different golf coaches in my first five seasons. I have also had to overcome the lack of a full golf team and play as an individual only. These challenges have given me my unique characteristic. The ability to stay positive with my competitors and myself when the round is less than perfect. I always come off the course every round, good or bad, with a smile on my face.
