The first time I picked up a club was the summer of my sophomore year in high school (2017). I shot relatively well on my first round and I knew that I had the potential and determination to improve. It's now been one year since I've started playing golf for my high school team, and I'm already shooting low to mid 40's on 9 holes. My coach says that my positive energy and outlook makes me not only a good asset to the team but also a good pupil of the sport. I know playing in college is a dream of mine that will change my life. I am a strong iron player and have a soft touch around the greens. I am a very coachable player who strives to work hard and put in the time, whether at the course or at the gym.
In school, I have an unweighted GPA of 3.7. I take all honors classes and few AP courses. On and off the course, I feel that I work diligently to achieve my goals. I want to attend a college where I can challenge myself in the classroom and on the course as well. I know as a recruit, I will be one of your most dedicated players and will strive to excel on the course.
