Madison O'Connor '23 Recruiting Profile

My goal is very simple.  I want to make an immediate contribution to women's golf at the collegiate level. 

Unlike the candidates I'm competing with, I did not grow up playing golf. Since my first introduction in my early teens, no other sport has captured my competitive spirit the way the game of golf has. My dedication has earned me the Coaches Award in my Junior year, and I’ve been named Captain for my upcoming Senior year.

I have always had a special interest in learning about what motivates others. This includes everything from their personal and professional goals, to their greatest fears. This is directly related to my devotion to my teammates. As a life-long athlete, I’ve striven to foster a culture that brings a team forward by motivating individuals.

In June 2023, I will graduate high school with four-years of Healthcare Technology curriculum, and intend to earn my CNA (certified nursing assistant).

In college I will pursue a degree in nursing - a profession that absolutely requires personal accountability, perceptive instincts and dedication to your team.
