Unlike most recruits, I have not been playing golf forever. Sure, my Dad gave me clubs when I was a toddler, but I didn't start playing seriously until about 5 years ago. Since then, it has become a major part of my life, from playing with my Dad and brother, to summer tournaments, and to playing on the Charlotte High School golf team. Participating on my high school golf team has definitely been my favorite part of high school. My teammates, coach , and I have had such an incredible time playing together. Our team made the state tournament for the first time in more than 30 years when I was a freshman.
In addition to golf, my other favorite part of high school has been serving as a LINK to several students with special needs. Our LINKS program matches students to provide classroom and social support. I have learned as much from the students I worked with as they have from me.
