My name is Ella Schultz, I am a junior at Romeo High School in Washington, MI, and I am proud to be a part of the class of 2022. I enjoy being active and involved in sports especially dance and golf. Ballet is the genre of dance at which I excel and have competed internationally since age 8. I have performed at Lincoln Center in New York City and held the lead roll as Clara in the classic ballet, The Nutcracker. Golf has been another passion of mine since playing alongside my dad.
I have been a member of the varsity golf team since my freshman year and a member of the varsity dance team since my sophomore year. I have made some of my best friends on these teams and I am so happy to continue being a part of the dance and golf communities. Being on these teams has provided me the opportunity to grow physically and mentally. I value the experience these teams have provided.
Besides sports, I am involved in the National Technical Honors Society (NTHS) and LINK Crew. NTHS was created to help one’s community for nothing in return. LINK Crew teaches students how to be a leader and become their best self. In school, we guide the freshmen and sophomores through their first years in high school through mentoring small groups of assigned students through their school year. LINK crew not only helps others but has prepared me as a future leader.
As a student, as an athlete, and as a person, I strive to be the best I can be. I know what it’s like to feel pressure, to work hard, and compete with a good attitude and with grace. In my golf game, I push for my goal and have a structured plan to achieve it. I am a great candidate for a team because I work well with others, step into everything with confidence, and give my best effort at all times.
