Personal Statement

My name is DeLaney Daniels and I am a junior at Bolivar High School. I was fortunate enough to grow up on a golf course, which instilled in me a strong work ethic and a deep passion for the game. I am currently ranked 4th in the class of 2026 in Missouri, and 798th nationally in the PGA girls high school player standings (2023-2024). With a 4.5 GPA, I am equally dedicated to my academics as I am to my athletics, constantly striving for excellence in both areas. As a hardworking and devoted athlete, I am eager to compete at the Division 1 or Division 2 level while continuing to excel academically.

85 -77 - 10th/89 - 5,305 yards - Par 72 - Day 1 was tough, and I couldn't get much going for myself. A combination of poor putting and inconsistent ball striking made this the most frustrating round of the season. Day 2 didn't start well either, but I kept myself in it, and played my last 11 holes at -1. This bumped me up the leaderboard 10 places and I was able to place 10th overall and secure All- State honors for the second time.

77-76 - 10th/92- 5,200 yards- Par 72 - I Started off the tournament with driving the first green and making a 15-footer for Eagle. Ball striking and short game were solid both days, which helped me secure All-State honors.

77 (37-40) - T3/63 - 5,350 yards - Par 72 - Got off to a rough start, but then played holes 3-14 at -2. There were many unforced errors and I didn't finish strong.

74 (37-37) - 1st/65 - 4,600 yards - Par 71 - Solid ball striking + hit 13 greens. This was also my first tournament back in competition after having ACL reconstruction.

71 (37-34) 1st/35 - 4,600 yards - Par 70 - Hit 14 greens and had a bogey-free back 9. Secured the individual win, as well as leading my team to a 1st place finish.
