I've played many sports such as gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and softball. I didn't become terribly interested in golf until about 2 years ago when my father passed away. His preferred sport for me was basketball. After he passed, I didn't want anything to do with basketball because it reminded me too much of him. I began playing golf, simply because it has always been a popular sport in my family. My grandpa and step-father play regularly, and my brother played on a college team. When I started playing, I was pretty good, which gave me a hunger to improve the game. My school (Liberty High School) is a small rural school, and doesn't offer a girl's golf team, so I had to play on the boy's team as a freshman. My starting freshman year, I was able to make it all the way to MSHSAA Boy's State Golf Championship Class 2, hitting from the boy's tees. I'm proud of myself for being able to compete with the boy's on their level, especially my first year as a freshman. We are just now getting into golf season for my sophomore year, and I'm excited for what's to come. I would love to end up playing at a college level. Follow me and see....
