I will be a senior at Norris High School in Firth, Nebraska this fall. I try to practice golf daily and keep improving on my abilities. While I’m relatively new to golf, I have already accomplished several milestones…I eagled a 230 yd Par 4 (3-wood), I’ve hit fairway drives over 260 yards, and I’ve continuously improved my short game with several chip-ins and 1-putts. In my first year of golf with Norris, I earned a varsity spot on a team that qualified for the Girls State Golf Tournament. I’ve worked hard to develop my game; and am dedicated to becoming an elite golfer. My goal is to attend a great school while having the chance to play golf in the upper ranks of the collegiate level.
In addition to my focus on my academics (4.0/4.0), I also play saxophone in Marching, Pep, and Concert bands as well as being a member and tutor with the National Honor Society. Aside from golf, my other main sport is shooting for Norris’s Trap Team. I have medaled in almost every conference meet since 6th Grade, collecting 21 medals in 8 meets and All-Conference honors last year. In addition, I’ve been part of a trophy squad every year at the Nebraska State Trap meet; and I plan on continuing in my Senior year. Much like golf, trap is a sport of focus, repetition and execution. And, much like golf, one missed shot can be the difference in finishing on the podium.
