Looking towards college, I have many goals and aspirations. First, I have always been a strong honors student and plan to continue my academic excellence in college as a business or marketing major. However, golf is the avenue in which I want to use to pursue my academic dreams. I have always loved golf and worked hard to improve on a regular basis. As I have always been around it, I did not actually pick a club up until my 9th grade season. It is not only the challenge of being a great golfer that intrigues me, it is also the ability to come together as a team to pursue a goal together. I am a positive leader with excellent character and know I will help develop and strengthen a team. I have been on the Hastings High girls varsity golf team since my freshman year. Since starting in 2019, I have improved over 40 strokes and now consistently shoot under 95. In my Junior year, my Personal Record was 84 but for my senior year, my goal is to break 80 and start shooting in the '70s. To do this I have been working very hard on my game in the off-season and stopped playing other sports. Every day I practice in our golf simulator at my house and work with my dad who has helped me with my game since I started. This year I was the district runner up and I tied for 18th at state. I have been the #1 player for 2 years and am on track for another year. I have a great attitude and work ethic which will help me continue to improve and be a valuable member of any team.
