I am 16 years old in my senior year of high school. I have had golf clubs since before I could walk, but I only started playing competitively in 2020. I was a competitive figure skater before deciding to put more focus on golf. My Dad and uncle are both former PGA Tour Canada players and I have a cousin playing D1 golf. I want to continue pursuing competitive golf to see where it can take me. This year I played over 10 tournaments with the highlight being winning the U17 and U19 New Brunswick Provincial championship with scores of 74, 76, 77. I also played two national events here in Canada.
I’ve been improving a lot in the past 3 years and plan to continue lowering my current competitive scoring average of 79. In 2020, I broke 100 for the first time. In 2021 I broke 90 and 80. This summer, in 2022, I shot under par for the first time. My goal is to continue to improve and bring a competitive stroke average of 76 to a D1 or D2 school in the fall of 2023.
On the golf course, my strengths are my driving accuracy and my putting. Another strength of mine is my desire to continue to improve and my passion for the game of golf.
I am extremely interested in playing college golf in a competitive environment. I am a determined and hard-working athlete both in the classroom and on the course.
