I have only been playing golf since my freshman year of high school, and the improvements I have made from when I started until now are incredible. I used to shoot in the 100s for 18 holes, and now I am shooting high 70s and low-to-mid 80s. This vast improvement has shown my athletic capability, and being an athlete in multiple sports has helped me adapt to change very quickly and it is easy for me to improve on anything. This year, as a Junior, I finished 8th in the Tournament of Champions, our State Championship for New Jersey, with a 78. I was also named to 2nd Team All-State, 1st Team All-Conference, and 1st Team All-Area. Playing other sports has also shown me that I not only just play golf, but I am a well-rounded athlete. I also weight train and run to keep in shape and to build up muscular endurance and strength. My main goal is to play golf in college. Although I love basketball as well, I know I have a much better chance of becoming a great golfer. With my athletic ability and the vast improvements I have made in such a small amount of time, I have no doubt in my mind I can achieve my goals and dreams.
