Personal Statement
Golf has become such a huge part of my life, and I have always dreamed of playing golf at the collegiate level. I love the sport and all of its aspects as it keeps me motivated, encouraging me to constantly set goals for myself. Over a span of six months (May to November), I lowered my 18 hole scoring average by about 25 shots, and I hope to continue my improvement.
I love both the team and individual aspects of golf, making some of my closest friends through the sport, and I hope to have the opportunity to meet new people and form lifelong friendships through golf in college.
The lessons and work ethic I have learned from golf have also helped me academically. Golf allows me to decompress and teaches me to bounce back from negativity. In the game of golf and in life, things can be turned around for better or worse at any moment.
I enjoy challenging myself by taking Honors and AP courses, and I like to have a balance by participating in a variety of clubs and activities. I hope to pursue business or law in the future.
