Hi my name is Cheyenne Krupp. I am currently a senior at Apex Friendship high school and play on the varsity girls golf team. I have played on the varsity team since freshman year and went to conference and regionals the last two years. Last year for 2021 I made second team third place all conference with an 82 at devils ridge, and regionals with a 90 at southern pines longleaf. I have worked really hard to improve my golf game over the years and have improved to a handicap of 15. Academically I have been on the AB honor roll many times, and am constantly working to push myself harder. Golf has taught me many things that I have brought into my academics. Some of those being patience, focus, and time management. I have had to work hard to have time for school and golf and not prioritize one over the other. I would love to play golf in college because I would like to one day have a career in golf and be a member of a great college team. In college I would hope to better myself in golf as the competition truly pushes me to become better. I have always loved playing on teams, the encouragement, the support system, and the hard work are many reasons why. Personally, I would bring motivation, determination, and a will to improve to a team. This also makes me different from others as well. I am constantly looking for new opportunities to improve; whether it be lessons with a different coach or new tournaments. My determination to learn from my mistakes and failures, and my critical thinking skills that my academics and golf has taught me are some of the many ways I am different from others. I am excited for any future in golf as I love the game and am hopeful in what the future holds for me.
