I started playing baseball when I was 5. My 11U and 12U West Raleigh All Star teams made it to the Pony League World Series. At 13 I started playing travel/select/showcase baseball and have continued to do so each year, currently playing for the Canes Baseball organization. I have been catching essentially since I've been playing! I also started playing ice hockey at age 5, and played for 10 years. I played for the Carolina Jr Hurricanes AAA team for my last 4 seasons where we traveled all over the country to compete at the highest level provided by USA Hockey. After my freshman year of high school, I decided to "retire" from hockey so I can focus on baseball (weight training, conditioning, and speed & agility training in the off season).
My goal and dream is to be a catcher at the collegiate level. I love hockey too, but I know I have more opportunity in baseball which led me to my decision not to continue playing hockey. Although I believe, by doing two sports at the highest level possible, has definitely made me a better all-around athlete. I also enjoy working out and training to help me compete to my fullest potential. I strive to be a good leader, I have excellent work ethic, I work hard at school and on the field, and I look forward to taking my baseball career to the next level.
