My name is Jacob Annunziata, I am 6'2" and weigh 170 pounds. I attend Apex Friendship High School in Apex, North Carolina. My primary position is outfield and my secondary position is middle infield, I throw right handed and bat left. I have been playing baseball for around 10 years and have learned not only many things about baseball but have also been taught life lessons. I feel that baseball has made me a better person all around. Baseball has always been a part of my life and I don't know what I would do without it.
I have always been taught that school comes before athletics and that is why I would like to go to a school that not only furthers my athletic ability but also my academics. I listen to instructions very well which makes me a very coachable player. I am a team player and will do whatever the coach asks of me. I am a very good bunter and can bunt for base hits as well as sacrifice myself to move over runners if asked to do so. Throughout my years of baseball I have always been very proud of my awareness on the field, whether it be reading dirt balls on the base paths or knowing where to be on each play on defense. This has helped me reach the level where I am right now. I also always make sure to communicate on the field with teammates and coaches to help make sure everything is clear and everyone knows what is going on at all times.
I am very committed to play baseball at a collegiate level and will continue to work very hard towards my goal. Thank you for reading my personal statement and good luck this year.
