I enjoy expanding my knowledge everyday in school, in golf and in life. I have always been focused on doing well in my academics and being accountable for my actions and results. I've learned that natural ability in school or in golf only takes you so far and to get results you need to put in a lot of hard work.
I started golfing in the eight grade because I wanted to try something new and my dad played golf. I had slow improvement the first couple of years but made significant progress over my sophomore year. I worked hard on improving my swing the past few years with many hours on the range and played many rounds on my own and with my dad in order to improve my shot selection and course management. I was All-State my junior year and All-State Tournament Team my senior year in North Dakota High School Class 1A golf.
I've decided to pursue golf in college a bit later than most as it's the fall of my senior year, but I am looking for the opportunity. I have been primarily focusing on my academics and finding the right college for me. With Covid-19 also being a factor in the chaos of last year, I had less time to think about college and athletics. Now I know that I want to pursue golf in college and continue my golf career and education.
I feel I have much more potential and much more to achieve in golf and academics. If provided the opportunity and the right guidance and coaching, I feel I can compete at a very high level. I'm very coachable, a strong teammate and play the game with integrity.
