Alana Smith '22 Recruiting Profile

I learned young that I could do great things and I took advantage of that. I always do my best and work my hardest. I'm a very goal driven person, and someone who sets there mind to something and goes and gets it. There are always setbacks but I know that is what makes me stronger and the person I am today. I take pride and honor in my academics and to me school is first priority. Furthering my education and taking the skills I have worked hard to learn,  I plan to take my dedication for academics to the college level. I enjoy and believe I should never settle and continue to challenge myself everyday. My second priority is to represent my community and myself above and beyond. I consider myself a leader and love taking on that role. Showing character in the truest of moments is extremely important to me. I will continue in college to represent the school and their athletics as a leader and represent their name to the fullest. Golf has been another place I have found myself take on the role of leading. Golf has taught me many valuable lessons about life and continues to everyday. Not only do I love playing but I also enjoy leading my team and being the person people follow for all the right reasons. I will continue to take my lessons from golf and everyday life to the next level and continue to lead on and off the course.
