Personal Statement

I am Caroline Zeiger a senior and captain of the girls' golf team at Columbus Academy in Columbus, Ohio. I have lettered in each of my high school seasons, have played in the Ohio state championship my first three years and have been a part of the last two Ohio state tournament championship teams. Last year, in addition with I finished sixth individually in the state.

I really enjoy playing competitive golf and look forward to chasing our third state championship this season and then continuing to grow my golf game in college being a major contributor for the team. I believe my preparation both academically and through my extensive tournament schedule has prepared me well to excel at the next level. First tournament of the year. Shot 87, 84, 77 in the three rounds at the Golf Club of Texas (5,708 yards). While I didn't play the best, it was great to play a few rounds at a new course after having limited opportunities to practice my short game outdoors during the winter.

Finished second, shooting 85/80 (165). While I didn't play great the first 27 holes, I finished well and was proud of the way I played in tough conditions on a tough course I had never played before.
