Addison Burris '24 Recruiting Profile

I am excited for the opportunity to play golf at the college level.  My goal is to join a reputable ladies golf team at a D1, D2, or NAIA school, while studying Nursing, to ultimately become a Nurse Practitioner.

My current 2023 average for my Senior year is 74.2, with a 68, 79, 72, 76 and 76.

I competed in 11 9-hole matches with an average of 37.1 

I won the Muskingum Valley League Championship with a score of 77

I earned Ohio Eastern District 1 "Player of the Year" as a Junior in 2022, along with 1st team "All MVL". My tournament stroke average is 80.5, and 40.8 in 9-hole matches. 

I golfed in 2-3 tournaments a week during the summer of 2023, mostly in the SOPGA.  The highlight of my summer was qualifying for the SOPGA Championship at Muirfield Village for a 2-day tournament.  I placed 7th, missed 2nd place by 6 strokes over 2 days, and shot a 93 and 89.  It was a great experience and feel it helped me take my golf game to the next level, on a difficult course.  What an honor to play on Muirfield Village Golf Course!

In February 2023 I was Runner Up at the Winter Under Armour National Tournament, in Sandestin, Florida, golfing a 2-day 18 hole tournament each day, on a 6,000 yard course, Burnt Pine.  I was in the 15-18 age group with ladies from Texas, Florida, to the Eastern Shore.  I shot 89 and 85 on a course I had never practiced on.  

I am very dedicated to golf and set a goal to improve my game every match. I was a competitive gymnast for several years which takes dedication and strength, which I have carried with me into golf.  I run indoor track in the winter to stay in shape during the off season, and continue golf lessons twice a week in the winter.

I have a 3.49 GPA taking college prep courses, I am level headed, make good decisions, have a positive attitude, and I love my teammates.
