Nina Shaffer '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nina Shaffer and I’m in my senior year at Green High School in Uniontown, Ohio. I will graduate in the spring of 2023. 

I’m a multi - sport athlete that loves to compete at a high level in golf and basketball. I consider myself a natural leader that strives to bring out the best in myself and my teammates. I possess an inner desire to succeed and be the best I can in the classroom and on the athletic field.

I take great pride in being humble and outworking the competition. I realize that nobody succeeds on their own and I understand the importance of being coachable - that is, taking criticism at every opportunity and learning from it. Lastly, I possess the willingness to fight no matter what the situation. I will always practice and play with maximum effort and feel this is what often separates the winners from the losers.

In the age of one sport specialization I'm proud to represent my school as a multi - sport athlete. I believe I have a high ceiling to grow as a college athlete when I decide to focus on a single sport at the next level. Academics are also very important to me, as I currently carry a 3.9 GPA. My goal is to play competitive golf in college while receiving a top education.
